This site is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. We have a data processing agreement with the provider (Art. 28 GDPR). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Our host is configured so that no access log files containing personal data (e.g. IP address) are created or stored when the site is accessed. For technical and security reasons, the host itself may briefly retain connection data to defend against attacks and ensure uninterrupted operation; this lies outside our sphere of influence and is covered by our data processing agreement with the host.
To defend against automated requests (e.g. brute-forcing the puzzle solution), your IP address is briefly cached to limit the number of requests per time window. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service functional (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you sign up for the daily reminder about the new puzzle, we store your email address. Sign-up uses a double opt-in process: you first receive a confirmation email, and the sign-up only becomes active once you click the link inside it. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Every reminder email contains an unsubscribe link; clicking it deletes your address immediately and completely from our database. Until withdrawal, your address is used exclusively to send the reminders. Sending is handled via our host's mail servers.
This site sets no cookies, does not integrate any analytics, tracking, or advertising services, and loads no third-party resources (fonts and scripts are self-hosted). No profiling takes place. Streak/Best/Played are stored exclusively in your browser's `localStorage` and are never transmitted to us.
The result screen contains a link to a support page on ko-fi.com. You only leave this site once you click that link; from then on, the respective provider's privacy policy applies, and we are not responsible for it.
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time, with effect for the future.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, such as the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner (Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte), Maternistraße 17, 01067 Dresden, Germany.
This policy is updated whenever the service changes.
